All cuttings are about 6-10 weeks old sometimes a touch older, they range from 4”-10” tall. They are all sold with strong roots, some may even have mini tubers. We do not use inhibitors on our cuttings. If planted deeply and covered again with another round of soil a month later you should have nice tubers at the end of the season. We propagate all of our fields - multiple Family Farms with cuttings and the ticket is to plant deep, and add another layer of soil when it has grown- ideally covering another set of leaf nodes. 

Cuttings are easy to grow and will give you flowers before your tubers. It’s a great way to increase your flower production while waiting on your tubers to come in.

When your cuttings arrive unpack immediately, water, and set them in a cool, shaded, frost free location to acclimate and harden off. Plant 24-48 hours later if there is no chance of frost. Bring them inside if you still have the chance of frost. 
Cuttings are different from tubers, they are live plants so we recommend keeping soil moist by hand watering or setting up drip or some kind of irrigation system. Do not plant in heat preferably in the evening or early morning. Do not overwater! One deep watering a day or two light is just fine. After they are established once a day is great unless we are in a heat wave. Water as needed when soil is dry. Tubers hold a lot of moisture so there is no need to over water.

We tend to keep our cuttings in the ground as long as possible if you can mulch around them it helps them mature an extra month which will give you outstanding tuber production. We can’t guaranteed you will get tubers as we don’t know each of your growing environments or fertilizing applications. However, cuttings and tubers for many years have produced about the same in tuber production 3-10 tubers per plant (sometimes more if you’re lucky).

Terms: We guaranteed healthy cuttings to arrive within two days from ship date. We are not responsible if you do not check your mail and unpack your cuttings and water them. You must contact us within 24 hours of delivery if you have an issue. We will not accept any type of complaints there after. When buying these cuttings you are accepting those terms. If you are out of town or not going to be home when the shipping notification is sent you must have someone unpack and water your cuttings. We ship 1-2 day UPS guaranteed mail so as we ensure your cuttings arrive in good shape, you must do your part in unpacking your cuttings quickly so they will adapt well to their new homes. After 24 hours we are not responsible for your plants. If something occurs in your care, we are not held liable. Any concerns need to be brought to our attention within 24 hours of delivery. 

We package all of our cuttings meticulously. They are watered down, wrapped, insulated if needed, and are tucked carefully in our custom packaging to ensure a safe journey. Every plant comes with a custom waterproof tag, and planting instructions.
